A day where everyone shares the joy and togetherness in one exciting activity at the daycare. Children, teachers, and parents gathered in an enthusiastic spirit to participate in Market Day – an educational activity that teaches children about the value of hard work, creativity, and sharing with others.
With small colorfully decorated tents, the children were busy manning their booths. The products sold ranged from delicious food to their own handicrafts.
In the food section, there were three tempting options that caught everyone's attention:
- 🍓 Fruit Sandwich – Soft bread filled with fresh fruit pieces and cream, carefully prepared by the children with the help of their teacher.
- 🍙 Kimbab – Korean rice rolls stuffed with vegetables and eggs, which stood out due to its beautiful presentation and delicious taste.
- 🥄 Sago Melon – A sweet and refreshing dish made from pearl sago, coconut milk, and melon pieces. This became a favorite choice for many visitors due to its unique flavor.
Meanwhile, the handicraft stalls were equally captivating:
- ✨ Beads Bracelet – A colorful bracelet made by the children, assembled with passion and happiness, showcasing their creativity.
- 📚 Colorful Bookmarks – Brightly colored bookmarks made from paper, perfect for gifts or personal collections, and crafted with care by the kids.
- 💫 Phone Strap – A cute and functional accessory decorated with colorful beads and charming hangers, perfect for beautifying any phone.
- 🎨 Clay Pencil Case – Soft clay pencil cases shaped and decorated by the children themselves. Each pencil case is unique and colorful, showcasing individual personalities.
- 🪞 DIY Mirror – Small mirrors adorned with creative ornaments. These were perfect as table decorations or special gifts, made with love and care.
We are incredibly proud of our young changemakers!
What makes this activity even more meaningful is the main goal: the proceeds from the sale of all products were donated to an orphanage. The children proudly explained to each buyer that the money they raised was not just the result of hard work but also a gesture of compassion for those in need.
Market Day is not only a place for play and learning, but also a pivotal moment to instill social values from an early age. Through this simple activity, children learn that sharing is fun and that kindness always brings happiness.
